ABOUT THE VA LIONS Football Program
The LIONS Football Program is a faith-based community football team that consists of high-school aged players who have not exceeded the age of 19 on or before the first day of August, in accordance with the Virginia High School League (VHSL)*.
This enables kids from all walks of life an opportunity to play football in a fair and safe environment based on age. As we are, and have always been a community football team, the players come from many districts and a variety of schools. This is a ministry. An outreach. Hence, our By-Laws are not mirrored after those of public nor private schools. Our goal is to provide young men an opportunity, an alternative to the streets and other detriment that consumes our youth today.
With the age restriction identical to that of the VHSL, the playing field is even. Our insurance only covers players who are aged 19 and under. The insurance compliance, as well as the compliance with the VHSL (which governs more than 80% of the VA Public Schools) validates the fairness of competition against any team: regional and nationwide.

If you are ages 14 - 18 and want to play football, we want to talk to you!
We are open to homeschool, public school and private school high school boys.
We are looking for serious football players who want to learn, work hard, and play all out! Bring your desire to play, your good work ethic in practice and your commitment to the team, and we will help you learn how to be the best player you can be!
We are commited to buildng character and integrity into our football players, while offering the best pre-college football coaching available.
